Very Simple

shirt: h&m (men's department) | skirt: american apparel | ring: little burgundy | necklace: forever 21

Hello everyone! Oh yes, I'm still alive and breathing. I have been absent for more than a week and I apologize. There is just too much going on that I had to sacrifice blogging. No more sad faces, I'm back. :)

As you can see, my bangs are now a bit long (to my delight!). I just wish now that my hair will grow faster as I can't wait to have looooong hair. As for the outfit, it's just me being lazy. Oversized shirts and high waist skirts are the first things I grab when I can't decide what to wear. I just add tights, boots and cardigans (sometimes) to be warm this winter. xx

Scarf and Beanie

My beanie (or should I say, tuque, as we call it here in Canada) and brown scarf have been my companions this winter. They are very warm and cozy, just perfect! Even though the weather these past days was warmer than the normal temperature, I still wear these two, just in case the weatherman is wrong. Let the snow fall, let the cold wind blow, I'm all ready for them!

How about you? What are your favorite staples to wear this winter? xx

Not So Long Ago

(Top: Rodier; Shorts: Lee; Bag: Liz Clairborne; Scarf (tied as a ribbon): Vintage; Shoes: Nine West; Ring: H&M)

My apologies for my unacceptable long absence. I was caught up by the realities of life. Then it was made worse by my lack of ability in time management. I procrastinated. I really have to get used to adding "blogging" in my daily rituals and habits so that I can blog constantly. Oh golly. If you have suggestions on how to be a better blogger, please do tell!

Anyway, during the past days I constantly wear outfits such as this. Long sleeve shirts or plain tee shirts matched with jean shorts. Almost all of my shorts used to be pants that were mercilessly cut by me.

Another thing I have been doing is getting my feet used to high heels. Of course, it hurts as hell in the first time! Well, practice makes perfect, like they always say. Any suggestions and tips pour moi? How do you strut your lovely heels?

I missed you all. I hoped you haven't forgotten me!

Back To Where I Started

Hello everyone!

It was months ago when I first started here in Blogspot. I enjoyed it as everything I aesthetically wanted in the layout and in the overall look of the blog was achieved. However, my photos, which are the main things in every post, are not as perfect. They don't appear as I want them to be. They became dry and pixelated. I tried everything but nothing worked. After some thoughts, I decided to go back where I first started blogging: Wordpress. I am aware of the limits it has in its design but they aren't too bad.

So ladies and gentlemen, this blog will then be available for viewing only. Please change the links you have to: fydezflightoffancy.wordpress.com

From now on, please visit: fydezflightoffancy.wordpress.com.

Thank you very much. And I hope to see you all there!

Like a Dream

(Dress: L'overture , Shoes: Aldo, Hair bow: Vintage, Ring: Little Burgundy)

Oh hello again little darlings. During the past days, I experimented again on the photograph effect that I once did (you can see it here). I abandoned it a while back thinking that it was too blurry. However, after countless practices, I can say that I finally got it. Yes I practiced it as it is a manual effect- no editing software used. The last two photos are taken with flash. So here you go. Expect more of these in the future posts. What do you think of them?

Also, you may also be wondering why I mention brands that basically do not exist anymore- like the dress I am wearing here. I find it not fair to just say "vintage" instead of the brand. This is so because I think such beautiful things should be credited, whatever or whoever the maker is. If I do not see any, then I write vintage as I find almost everything of my things in the vintage/thrift store!

Lastly, I terribly missed you all.
